Doris Dollars Information for Artists

Our Patrons (High-Level Festival Members) will receive Doris Dollars (DD), which function exactly like cash. Doris Dollars feature an image of Doris Leeper, founder of IMAGES: A Festival of the Arts and the Atlantic Center for the Arts (ACA).

Doris Dollars are issued in $20 and $50 denominations.

Using Doris Dollars

Patrons may pay for purchases using Doris Dollars, cash, check, or any combination of these methods.  Examples:

• A $60 purchase may be paid with $50 in Doris Dollars and $10 in cash.
• If a patron uses $50 in Doris Dollars for a $40 item, you may give $10 in change.

Treat Doris Dollars as you would cash and store them securely. Do not exchange Doris Dollars for cash for patrons.

Redeeming Doris Dollars

Official IMAGES Artist Ambassadors and/or staff will visit booths on Sunday beginning at 2:00 PM to collect Doris Dollars. You will receive a receipt at that time. Payment (check or direct deposit) will be issued the week following the festival using your selected method below.

Payment Options

1. Same-Day Check Pickup
   Checks may be picked up on Sunday at Yurick Studios, next to Arts on Douglas, beginning at 4:00 PM.
   An ACA accountant will be available to distribute checks until 6:00 PM.
2. Direct Deposit (Preferred Method)
   Direct deposit is the safest and fastest option, typically completed within 2–4 business days.

To enroll:

• Email Brian Hannan, Accounting for IMAGES and Atlantic Center for the Arts, at
  accounting@atlanticcenterforthearts.org
• Request an invitation to Bill.com (free service)
• Include:
  • Artist or business name
  • Email address
  • Phone number
  • Physical mailing address

You will be sent an invitation from Bill.com to connect with ACA.
If you are already enrolled from a previous year, simply log into Bill.com and confirm your banking information is current—no new invitation is needed.

3. Mailed Check
   If you prefer to receive a mailed check, please PRINT CLEARLY or TYPE the following information and email it to
   accounting@atlanticcenterforthearts.org:

• Name of artist as listed in Zapplication
• Preferred payee name (if different)
• Mailing address
• City, State, ZIP

If no email is received, checks will be mailed to the most recent address on file in Zapplication or, if applicable, payment will be sent to the most recent bank account listed in Bill.com.
